"This is the reason why your headache didn't go away, That's actually pronounced analgesic, not ANAL-gesic. Sir, the pills go in your mouth." ~ Dr. Chrisopher Turk
I never looked at paracetamol the same way again after I heard that quote from Scrubs. For the past two days (and counting), my body and I have been battling the infamous flu. Its influenza season again on our side of the tropics, we've had three typhoons this month (Florita, Glenda and Henry) and another one (Inday) on its way. It's been a cold, wet and humid month. I miss the sun. I'd trade pine trees for coconuts right now. (Something no self-respecting Baguio resident would think, let alone
I've had my first flu shot circa two months ago, and that's why I feel like I'm in a flu limbo of some sort. The whole flu sequence (as I grew up knowing it) has become all blurry and jumbled. I feel like I have just acquired it and I feel like I've nearly recovered from it at the same time. I don't know where I am right now. I've done my two day flu home remedy:
2 gallons of Del Monte pineapple juice + no smoking (cold turkey) + "chicken noodle soup" (thanks to my sis) + 23 hours of sleep (one hour bathroom breaks) + 4 blankets + 1 comforter + a pair of socks + Paracetamol + Lagundi + a million rolls of tissue paper + fresh tangerines + SinigangI am strong enough to go online but I'm still too weak to leave the house. Housebound for the last two days (and counting), I didn't even notice with all the sleep I've been doing. Sleep sleep sleep, that's all I did. I'm gonna go cuckoo soon.
Note to self: Look for hotkey for strikethrough in Blogger.
